"NOT JUST THE PRESIDENT'S WIFE"

Washington, D.C. (PoliticalJones.com) - It seems that everyone has begun to write off Senator Clinton.  It's a big mistake.  She's not in an ideal situation, but anyone around politics will tell you you that until all the votes are counted you still have a chance.

Clearly the momementum and excitement that Senator Obama has generated is beyond this world.  His efforts are not only historic, but bold. He was told that he could not compete, but he still followed his heart and dreams. His efforts have changed the political views of how in this country.

Senator Clinton has an interesting story too. In a country that has systemically denied and ignored the efforts of both women and people of color, she is inspirational as well.  Who would have ever thought that the wife of a popular two-term President would ever run for President herself?  No matter what people think of her personally, you must respect her efforts and her story.  She could have packed it up a long time ago, but instead she chose to fight.

Ironically, it seems that it took the adversity that she is facing now for many folk to see her perhaps in her true light.  It seems that now as the underdog, everyone can view her, not President Clinton's wife, but as Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton.

She began this race as the one to beat, but has now ran head into a movement that is much bigger than the man that many feel is leading it.

Neither Sen. Clinton, nor Sen. Obama had any idea how this election would turn out. However they both believe they are "the one" to lead this country.  Only the voters will make that final decision.  This is how democracy works in our country.

In today's world, many are too quick to pile on when someone is down, and begin to forget what that person brings to the table.  Senator Clinton must be very frustrated and disappointed at how things have turned out, but she keeps pushing on.  As she should.

Let's just hope that in the end, if she or Senator Obama faces the ultimate decision to accept defeat and step aside, that it is done with both grace and maturity.

We all know that it's how you handle the tough times that defines you.

Let's hope that in the end, both of these great political forces allow their strengths to be seen and not just heard.
