"RULES OF THE GAME"

Washington, DC (PoliticalJones.com) - It is almost time to find out whether our country will elect a Woman or a Black Man as the President of the United States. I am not a woman, so I cannot truly feel the pain caused by the discrimination and limitations placed upon women in our country .

As the son of a STRONG AFRICAN AMERICAN WOMAN, I stand before you as a Man shaped and molded by a Strong and Smart Woman.  However as the father of smart and beautiful daughter, I will not let her accept less from anyone in this country.

As a Black man, I do understand what this campaign means.  I understand and appreciate the efforts of those Black Men and Women who tried to run for President before.  They paved the way.  But folks knew they could not and would not win.

This time it is different.  I don’t even know if he knows it, but it is different.  He has lived the American Dream, and followed the path that our past President’s have followed.  He has followed the rules and played the game.  While it is about him, it is also about all the other Brothers who had the JUICE, but was never given the chance to even play the game.

The truth for us is that the rules of the game always change at the last minute.  This is a reality many of us deal with everyday.  In the end, the game and the rules are made for someone else.  In 2008, we will find out if the rules stay the same.

Let me be honest, I have always believed that I would never live to see a Woman or Black Man elected President of the United States of America.

Let’s hope that I will be proven very wrong.
