"WHAT ABOUT ME"

Washington, DC (PoliticalJones.com) -  “What about me?”  Can you imagine running for President of the United States and realize that no one is paying attention to your campaign.
 
Think about the other guys in the Democratic Primary race.  Outside of the two favorites, Sen. Clinton and Sen. Obama and more so recently, former Sen. Edwards. . . you don’t hear much, unless it is something negative or funny.
 
Just think of the pride and ego it took to even put yourself out there to run for the office.  And to know in your heart that you could and should be the one.   You should be the LEADER OF THE FREE WORLD.
 
Then to realize that most of the nation writes you off before the first vote is even counted.
 
These other candidates are two current U.S. Senators, Joe Biden and Chris Dodd, U.S. Congressman Dennis Kucinich, former U.S. Senator Mike Gravel, and still serving Govenor Bill Richardson.  All are accomplishment people who have committed there lives to public service.

Despite the weak poll numbers, their efforts should not be ignored.  Nor should their platforms and visions for the future of our nation be ignored.

In this strange and confusing world of politics, one of these folks could end up on the Democratic Presidential ticket as the Vice Presidential Nominee.  This would make them only one heartbeat away from being the Leader of the Free World.
 
Whether it is likely to occur?  Perhaps.  But if it does, the day to know about this person should be now, not 5 minutes after they are sworn in.  Both our nation and the world cannot afford that.
